We’re Here! We’re Queer! Stories of Our Liberation celebrates and shares our stories of liberation. Let's come together to uplift and empower one another through our unique experiences and voices.

Get ready for an evening filled with inspiring stories and meaningful connections with members of the LGBTQ+ community. This event is a space for all to express themselves and be celebrated for who they are.

Part curated performance and part open mic, interested audience members who want to share a poem, story or other means of performance can fill out interest in a Google Form found in their ticket confirmation email - or sign up night-of!

Doors at 6pm with a one hour happy hour before the open mic begins at 7pm. Dorothy remains open after the show until last call at 11pm.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $17 at the door.

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Ave. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait by the black door on Campbell Ave with our logo in the window and call our staff to assist: 773-770-3799.

Please note: refund requests are only accepted until 24h before the event (3/22, 7pm). No other refund requests will be honored.

ABOUT YOUR HOST

J.Evelyn is a multi-hyphenated artist in acting, poetry, dance, and intimacy direction for theatre and film. A local plant guru, she's supported over 200 clients with their indoor plants starting during the pandemic and ran programming events such as plant swaps and open mics. She's an oral historian working to build more opportunities around storytelling and archiving lived experiences from the lens of the LGBTQIA+ community that exhibits our humanity and courage in existence.
